Patriot K9 Security was created in response to terrorism events, including the bombing events of Lockerbie, Oklahoma City, 9/11 and Boston. Our service is rooted in the belief that domestic threats continue to threaten the security of our communities, critical infrastructure, and nation. We believe that Americans and people everywhere should live free from fear of the malicious use of explosives and that the realization of this vision depends upon a well-coordinated, proactive effort. With 25+ years of experience and expertise in Anti-Terrorism tactics, K9, and Explosives we can provide a proactive solution to Prevent, Detect and Deter potential threats.
Established Intelligence and information sharing partnerships with Infragard and the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) to improve our ability to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to criminal and terrorist activity. We are also licensed and registered by the United States Department of Justice. We hold membership with the American Working Dog Association.
Our K9 Teams
Patriot K9 Security odor detection canine teams bring technical capability, mobility, and flexibility to security--attributes essential in protecting citizens and critical infrastructure. Our canine teams can move throughout any environment and also post at multiple points during periods that vary from shift and day by day. Patriot K9 Security can provide a premier service by discretely performing searches without arousing public concern/disrupting normal operations or performing searches more visible as a deterrent.
Patriot K9 Security requires that each team pass a rigorous and extensive K9 Handler certification course conducted in operational environments performed by a third party. The certification course is one of the most demanding courses conducted. After successful completion of the course, all handler teams must successfully complete a 14-day training mission in an operating environment before receiving full certification.
Maintenance training is required monthly, in which handlers are required to exceed the minimum 16 hours and complete over 40 per month. Recertification also exceeds the minimum standard of annually as Patriot K9 Security handlers are required to recertify every 6 months.
